Sharon Kindred

Sharon Lynn (Riddles) Kindred was born to Leonard and Eva Mae (Portillo) Riddles on February 15, 1949 in Lawton, OK and departed this life in Temple, OK on September 20, 2023 at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 5 days.

Sharon grew up southwest of Temple, OK, graduating from THS in 1967. She went on to attend college at Southwestern and Cameron. While in college she worked at the Indian Hospital, and as secretary at a law firm. She married Frankie Lee Kindred on November 26, 1971 in Duncan. The couple made Lawton their home for a time and she worked at Fort Sill Indian School. In 1976 their son, John, was born. In 1977 the family moved southwest of Temple near her parents. While John was in school at Temple, Sharon worked as a teacher’s aide. The couple moved to town in 2004. 

Sharon was a most unselfish person and was devoted to her family. Her primary concern was for everyone else. She loved doing for others and kids were drawn to her. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard “Black Moon” and Eva Riddles; and her in-laws, Joe and Betty Jo Kindred. 

Survivors include her husband Frankie of the home; her son John Kindred; 2 sisters, Carrie Wahnee and Dorney Riddles; several beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
