Sue grew up at Hastings, OK, attending school in Hastings and then Waurika, graduating from WHS in 1965. She worked in the Jefferson County Court House for 30 years, starting out as dispatcher for the sheriff’s department and then moved to the court clerk’s office. She retired in the fall of 2018 and moved to Chickasha to be near a daughter.

As Waurika Lake was in its early years, she helped plant all the trees in the public areas, and also served on and retired from the Hastings Volunteer Fire Department.
