Terry Allen Goode was called to be with his Lord in his Glorious home on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the age of 73. His dash began in Wichita Falls, Texas when he was born to Jesse Allen Goode and Evelyn Janice Goode of Randlett, OK, and was the oldest of two children born to that blessed union. Terry grew up in Randlett, OK. There he attended and graduated from Big Pasture Public Schools in 1965. Afterwards, he attended Cameron University and later transferred to Southeastern State University.

In October 1969 Terry married his devoted and loving wife of 51 years Debbie (Ward) Goode, and to this marriage two sons were born. Terry was a member of the Grandfield First Presbyterian Church. After college he enlisted and served in the Army Reserves. He worked for many years at Siemens in Wichita Falls. Upon their relocation, he continued the long family tradition of employment with the US Postal Service as a Rural Mail Carrier and thoroughly enjoyed his patrons. Each one was special to him and he especially looked forward to the children that greeted him. He also pursued other interests including CLEET training and served as a reserve police officer for the City of Grandfield. He was involved with farming and ranching most of his life. He always felt a connection to the land and had a genuine love of animals. He especially loved to sit in the pasture in the evenings to watch the baby calves play and he loved dogs one of which, Rudy, was particularly close to Terry.

Pops, as he was known by his family, was a no non-sense, called it like he saw it, fiercely loyal, generous with his time, devoted family man. He believed that hard work, treating people fairly and taking care of his family were cornerstones to living a good life. Pops felt great pride and took immense joy in his family from his beautiful wife that he cherished, his sons he raised to be Godly men, to all his grandkids that he treasured. He also held a special place for his extended family since last names were not as important as the person, if you were family then you were family. He ran the good race and created a legacy with his dash.

He was preceded in death by his father Jesse A. Goode and, his mother Evelyn J. Goode, great nephew Joshua Sherman and special family friends Tony Reed and Lee West.

Terry is survived by his wife Debbie Goode of Grandfield, his two sons Jeff Goode and wife Stacey of Devol, OK, Greg Goode of Edmond, OK; Sister, Dana Brixey and husband Marvin of Randlett, OK; Grandchildren, Morgan, Tatum and Quaid Goode, Libby Whitecotton and husband Kyle, Molley Blades-Blevins and husband Chase; Great grandchildren, Avery Whitecotton and Bash Blades-Blevins; Nephews Tim Ward, Tommy and Kim Ward, Gerald and Kristi Ward, Trey Vache and Keaton Spradlin; Nieces Sharlene and David Dutsch, Shanon and Rob Sherman, Kristin and Jamie McCoy, Kadyn Spradlin; Special Friend, Pam West; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fairview Cemetery and First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 95, Grandfield, OK 73546 or a charity of your choice.
