Tommie Lee Fye

Tommie Lee Johnson-Fye went to meet her Lord on July 4, 2021 at the age of 90, surrounded by her family.

The funeral service will be held at Corum Baptist Church, Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m, Charles Weeaks officiating with burial in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters. Visitation Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Hart-Wyatt.

Tommie was born to Arthur and Rebecca Johnson on November 22, 1930 on her family's farm located in Cotton County, which is one of the farms the Fye Family still operates to this day. Tommie graduated from Walters High School in 1948. Tommie married the love of her life, Marlin David "Bud" Fye on May 13, 1952 at Corum Assembly of God Church. After marriage Bud and Tommie resided in Listie, PA for a short time before moving back to Corum, OK to start their family and begin their farming operation. During this time Bud and Tommie owned the Corum Store. Tommie and Bud's marriage union brought forth three children Jimmy, Vic, and Connie.

Tommie enjoyed working alongside Bud, helping to farm their land in Stephens and Cotton County, as well as several farms in the Oklahoma Panhandle. Tommie enjoyed cooking and was always happy to set a place at the table for anyone needing a hot meal and good company. Tommie loved her family and always enjoyed being involved in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren's lives.

Tommie was preceded in death by her mother and father Arthur and Rebecca Johnson, and her brother Delbert Johnson. Tommie is survived by her husband Bud Fye of the Home, son Jimmie Fye and wife Vicki, son Vic Fye, and daughter Connie Elam and husband Sam, all of Corum, OK. Grandchildren include Jacey Fye of Comanche, OK, Sunny Herrmann and husband Trent of Agra, OK, Colt Elam and wife Casie of Corum, OK, and Seri Forney and husband Billy or Newalla, OK. Great grandchildren include Kyan and Rhett Herrmann. She is also survived by 2 sisters-in-law, Donna Michelottie of Somerset, PA and Helen Johnson of  Comanche, OK. 

Pallbearers will be grandsons Colt Elam and Trent Herrmann, and family friends Dicky Miller, Johnny Rue, Josh Brown, and Chris Hartman. Honorary pallbearers will be Willy Smith, Myron Ely, Bruce McDonald, and Raymond Tucker.
