A memorial service will be held at a later date, with details to be announced by the family. In accordance with his wishes, his ashes will be inurned at Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton, Texas.
Victor DeWayne Langolf was born on August 26, 1958, in Perryton, TX, to Harry Langolf and Donna Marie (Swink) Langolf, and passed away on August 26, 2026, in Walters, Oklahoma, at the age of 68.
He grew up on the family farm in Perryton, TX, attending Perryton schools throughout his childhood and working side by side with his father, Harry, helping tend the land and livestock. Later, he built a career in the oilfield as a pumper, dedicating many years to both farming and the energy industry.
He had a deep love for farm life and took great pride in tending to his livestock. Raised in the Methodist faith, he carried with him the values of hard work, kindness, and helping others. Known for his playful sense of humor, he was a kid at heart who enjoyed making people laugh and bringing smiles to family and friends. While a lifelong Texan, he often joked about being a brief "Okie" and was a devoted fan of OU women's basketball.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, A.L. and Opal Swink, and Gottlieb and Agatha Langolf; his parents, Harry and Donna Langolf; and his son, Calvin Langolf.
He is survived by his daughter, Hanah Lowry of Houston, TX; grandson, Luke Lowry of Houston, TX; and 2 sisters, Jan Langolf of Perryton, TX, and Debbie Swann of Las Vegas, NV.
