William "Irvin" Adams

William Irvin Adams born February 8, 1927, passed away Wednesday August 26,2026 in Wichita Falls, TX at age 99

The funeral services will be held at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters, OK at 10:30 am on Monday August 31,2026 followed by interment at Devol Cemetery, Bob McCartney will be officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday August 30,2026 from 3 pm to 5pm at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters, OK.

Irvin was born in Manitou, OK on February 8,1927 to Alvin Jerrell (AJ) and Lula Elizabeth Burchett Adams. He married Wanda Gean Adams August 1,1958 in Wichita Falls, TX. Irvin attended school at Manitou ISD in Manitou, OK before getting married he served in the United States Army and worked farming and ranching up until his retirement. William "Irvin" Adams and Wanda Gean Mann Adams spent 63 years together.

Irvin loved playing cards, domino's and going to horse races. He also loved spending time and teaching his grandchildren and great grandchildren about things around the farm and ranch. Irvin also loved hosting Sunday dinners with his family. He had great fondness for food and desserts, especially sweets.

Irvin is preceded in death by his parents, His wife Wanda Gean Adams, Daughter Shelia Dunn, and son Johnny Mac Adams, His sisters Patsy Mullins and Retha Mullins, brothers Dearl Adams and JW Adams. His father and mother-in-law Wilson and Holly Mann and brothers-in-law Jr. Mann and Bobbie Mann.

He is survived by, his son Darrell Adams of Grandfield, OK, son Danny and wife Susan Adams of Bowie, TX, daughter Janette Adams of Kansas, brother Charles Adams and wife Judy of Ardmore, OK, sisters -in-laws Carrie Step Comanche, OK and Dena and husband Gene Prince of Baton Rouge, LA, JoAnn Adams of Cookietown, OK, brother-in-law Billy Mullins of Burkburnett, TX; grandchildren Jason and wife Sheila Adams of Grandfield, OK, Amanda and Jimmy Reyes of Wichita Falls, TX, Katrina and husband Danny Lassus of New Orleans, LA, Jarred and wife Cody Adams of Midland, TX, Nona and Brad Laminack of Devol, OK, Karrie Whaley of Randlett, OK, Aaron Adams of La Porte, TX, Melody and husband Tyler Sutton of Bowie, TX, John Robert Adams Bowie, TX, Cole Adams Iowa Park, TX, nephew Eric and wife Jennifer Mann of Medicine Park, OK. 28 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
