Phillip Hart
Funeral Director in Charge
Born in Lawton, OK, Phillip Shawn Hart grew up in Temple and Walters, graduating from Walters High School in 1988. He attended Oklahoma State University and Cameron University before graduating from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1992. On November 26, 1988, he married Shellie Phillips in Walters, and they make their home east of Walters. They have a daughter, Taylor Abbe (Hart) McIntyre, who is married to Brent McIntyre and lives in Temple. Phillip also has three sons, Cole Max Hart of Walters, Gage Levi Hart and his wife Bailee of Geronimo, and Nathan Phillips Hart and his wife Gabrielle of El Reno. He also has four grandsons, Jagger Brown, Brevan Brown, Trace McIntyre, and Strohm Hart, and one granddaughter, Sadie Max Hart. Phillip is a member of First Baptist Church in Walters, OK, and the Walters Rotary Club. He currently serves on the Walters Board of Education and the Walters Education Foundation.
Carol Shipman
Owner/ Office Manager
Born in Walters, OK, Carol grew up west of Temple, OK and graduated from Temple High School in 1966. After graduation she began her working career at Ft. Sill, then spent 14 years at the First National Bank in Temple. Her involvement with Wyatt Funeral Home began in 1972 and she eventually purchased the funeral home in 1984 and it became Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home. She married Bill Shipman in 1998 and together they share 4 children and 8 grandchildren. She is a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church, Cookietown, OK.
Bill Shipman
Facilities Supervisor
Born in Artesia, New Mexico, Bill grew up in the Empire Community, west of Duncan, OK. He graduated from Empire High School, Cameron College and Oklahoma State University. Taught Vocatinal Agriculture for 5 years and was employed by Halliburton Services in chemical research for 21 years. Following the death of his first wife, Donna, he married Carol Hart in 1998 and has been employed at the funeral home since that time.

Cole Max Hart
Funeral Director Assistant
Born in Lawton, OK, Cole Max Hart grew up in Walters. After graduating from Walters High School, Cole earned an associate's degree in Business from Cameron University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Entrepreneurship from the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University. Cole is the third generation to work at the family-owned funeral home, where he serves alongside his father, Phillip, sister, Taylor, and grandparents, Bill and Carol. With a passion for innovation and streamlining processes, he keeps the technology side of the business running. He is also the pianist at Antioch Baptist Church in Lawton, OK.
